WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST DAY

This is your opportunity to discuss any concerns with our team and to ask any questions. And if you haven’t already done so, this is when you can take a tour. You are going to like what you see.

Your pup will be given a suite where they’ll start the day. This allows them to settle in and get comfortable - to become familiar with the sights, sounds and smells of the new space. During this time, one of our pack leaders will pop in to say hi and see how they’re doing!

One-on-one Play

A playtime coordinator will take your pup out for some one-on-one play. We do our initial observation of behavior and body language during this time.

Meet & Greet

Next, we slowly introduce your dog to 1 or 2 others that we know well. We like to select dogs of similar size and temperament. If all goes well, an appropriate playgroup will be assigned.

If your dog is a social butterfly and can’t wait to play, we will rotate him in with his new group of friends for the remainder of the day.

If your dog does not seem to be comfortable, perhaps he is still a little nervous or shy, we will give him time to rest and adjust before we try again.

A Few Things To Note

We know you want to see your pup out playing and having fun, but his camera time may be limited on day 1. We frequently use smaller yards for our meet and greet sessions.

Overly warm or rainy days may impact playtime for our campers. Safety first!

Pick Up

You will receive a lil camper report card that gives you a glimpse into their time at Pet Paradise. Feel free to ask any questions you may have during this time. When you return home, you may notice that your pet is more tired than usual. This is normal. They had a big day. They may also seem more hungry or thirsty. A big appetite is typical after a day in Paradise. Not a bad idea to spoil them with a special treat - the perfect end to a day.

Pet Paradise Dripping Spring

A wonderful and convenient place for dogs and cats! I had an immediate need for cat boarding, and was very pleased. The cat room is clean and well organized, as are the individual cabanas. They encourage lots of exploration and exercise. The staff was friendly and caring too! I was so happy that I made another reservation over the upcoming holidays.

We’ve been taking our dogs here for boarding for a few years now and overall have had an amazing experience. We recently picked up our dog and he was in such good spirits and seemed to have had an amazing time! I also love the report cards they send out. Would highly recommend!!

Pet Paradise Lake Norman
