Dr. Collins was born and raised in Maine. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and began her career as a computer software engineer. Driven by a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian, she later changed paths, completing her MBA in 2010 and graduating from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2013.

Compassionate and dedicated, Dr. Collins is committed to helping animals feel their best. She is particularly passionate about preventative care, dermatology, and surgery. Before joining NewDay, she owned and operated her own practice, where she provided high-quality medicine paired with heartfelt, compassionate care.

Dr. Collins now calls Northeast Florida home. In her spare time, she enjoys puzzles, snuggling with her dogs, and spending quality time with her husband and their family.

Meet Morgan Doak! She started with Pet Paradise in January of 2021! She began with us as a Back of House Supervisor and has quickly found her way to becoming the Resort Manager! Prior to living in Saint Augustine Florida, she was a manager at a dog boarding facility in Richmond, Virginia, for two years. Her heart is set on the pet care industry. She currently has two fur-babies, Ava is a Chihuahua mix that has been with her since 2019 - she was found running loose on a farm! Juno is an Australian Shepard Pitbull mix who she adopted July of 2024 - he is full of so much love and energy!  Outside of work, Morgan loves to paint, adventure around Saint Augustine and listen to music. Morgan's passion is making sure all dogs are treated like her own and she has a particular soft spot for the little fur children! 

Meet Kimberly O'Nell! She is new to the Pet Paradise family, and brings a lot of knowledge and creativity from her previous restaurant management experience. Born and raised in St. Augustine, FL, she has a love for the outdoors and animals. Kimberly has a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine from St. Andrew's University in North Carolina, where she also played Collegiate Volleyball for 4 years. In her spare time, you can find her reading a good book, tending to her garden of flowers and herbs, or walking with her dog Maverick, a one-year-old Golden Retriever. 

Meet Allison Barbera! Allison joined the Pet Paradise team in 2022, beginning her journey as a Playtimer. Her passion and dedication quickly led her to become cross-trained in multiple areas, eventually stepping into the role of Front-of-House Supervisor and now serving as one of our Assistant Managers! Allison has been passionate about animals her whole life and even spent a few years riding horses. Her pack started with her beloved corgi, Winnie, who's full of personality and always eager to speak her mind. As well as three more furry companions: Flynn, Bruno, and Arlo. Each of her pets brings something special to the pack: Flynn is affectionate and cuddly, always seeking mom’s attention. Bruno, a playful rescue pup, is full of energy and loves chasing his ball. Arlo, the family cat who was a foster fail, is independent but loves a good roughhouse with his canine siblings. Despite the chaos, Allison wouldn’t have it any other way, her dream has always been to have a house full of animals. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and is often found exploring new adventures with her dogs, whether it’s a day at the beach, the park, or a fun weekend outing.

As a dedicated dog trainer, my mission is to build effective communication between dogs and their owners. I believe every dog has the potential to learn and thrive, and I approach each training journey with a commitment to understanding the unique personality, needs, and abilities of every dog / work with. By sharing my insights and techniques with owners, I aim to strengthen the bond between them and their dogs, creating a foundation for a lifelong, harmonious relationship. Helping families and their dogs connect on a deeper level is my greatest passion.

Meet Alicia Alvarez! She is a Florida girl, born and raised. Also, a Nash Academy of animal arts graduate and has been professionally grooming for over 12 years. She was trained in New Jersey by a master groomer. She has three pups of her own, as well as two human kids. Grooming has always been her passion, and her favorite dog breed is ALL BREEDS! She doesn’t discriminate against any breed and can’t wait to pamper your fur babies!!!
