What vaccinations are required for dogs?

Dogs must be current on Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella, administered by a veterinarian. Have your vet email or fax the dates to us, or bring proof at check-in. What vaccinations are required for cats?

Cats must be current on Rabies and FVRCP, administered by a veterinarian. Bring proof at check-in or have your vet send the dates to us.

What is the minimum age to board a puppy or kitten?

Puppies and kittens must be at least 12 weeks old and have received their second round of core vaccines (Rabies, DAPP x2, and Bordetella for puppies).

Do you require a temperament test or trial day before booking?

No test is required to book. On your pet's first visit, our team does a temperament assessment to determine the type of play and socialization that suits them best. New customers can try us out with One Free Stay or Play.

How do I make a reservation?

Book online, through the Pet Paradise mobile app, or by calling 877.PETS.PLAY (877.738.7752). We'll ask a few questions about your pet to set up their profile.

Can I take a tour before booking?

Yes. You and your pet are welcome to tour during lobby hours. New customers also receive One Free Stay or Play, a complimentary day of day camp or night of boarding with proof of current vaccinations, so your pet can get comfortable with our staff and resort before a longer stay.

Can I bring my dog's own food?

Yes, and we recommend it. Bring food pre-bagged per serving to keep your pet on their normal diet and avoid upset stomachs. Refrigeration is available. If you prefer, we offer Hill's Science Diet as our house food for $5 per day per pet.

What should I pack, and what is provided?

Bring pre-portioned food and any medications in their original containers. Please leave bedding, blankets, fabric or plush toys, and rawhides at home (for flea and tick control and choking safety). We provide premium bedding and a blanket for every guest at no charge.

What should I expect at check-in and check-out?

At Pet Paradise check-in, the team reviews vaccinations, food, medications and care instructions. For pickup, confirm timing and any fees with your resort; use the service-specific check-in guide to prepare.

What are your hours of operation?

Lobby hours vary by location; Check your resort's page for details. On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, non-airport locations are open 9am–2pm and airport locations keep normal hours.

Dog Boarding

What do the sleeping accommodations look like?

Pet Paradise offers private, climate-controlled dog boarding suites with raised bedding. Depending on the resort, choose indoor, patio, VIP or one-on-one accommodations. Pet parents are welcome in for a tour.

What does a typical daily schedule look like?

Boarding days at Pet Paradise include meals, supervised playtime, potty breaks and rest in a private suite. Specific feeding and nighttime schedules vary by resort.

How much exercise and playtime will my dog get?

Every boarding stay includes one complimentary playtime, and additional playtimes can be purchased. Group play, pool time, and patio access vary by location.

How are group play sessions supervised and structured?

Dogs are grouped by size and temperament with compatible playmates, under the supervision of our Playtime Coordinators. Intact dogs over 6 months play one-on-one with a coordinator or with dogs from their own family. Dogs who don't enjoy group play can have individual sessions.

Is the facility staffed overnight?

We take safety seriously. Contact your resort to confirm whether staff are on-site overnight and how emergencies are handled.

Can I watch my pet on a webcam?

Many Pet Paradise locations provide public webcams in dog play areas, and select premium suites offer private in-room cameras. Camera availability, hours and views vary by resort and suite type; check the location page for details.

Do you send report cards or photo updates?

Pet Paradise offers ways to keep up with your pet during a stay, including webcams at participating resorts and optional photo or communication services where available. Ask your resort whether report cards or photo updates are included with your reservation and how often to expect them.

Can I call to check on my pet?

Of course. We know how hard it is to leave your pet behind, so call your resort anytime with questions or concerns.

Can my dogs share a suite?

Yes, same-family pets can stay together at a discounted rate for the second pet. Unaltered pets of opposite genders over 6 months must be boarded in separate suites.

How do you keep the facility clean?

Suites, floors, bowls, and surfaces are disinfected between uses, and all suites and play yards get a thorough cleaning every morning. Team members wash or sanitize hands before and after handling each dog. We verify core vaccines at arrival, screen every pet for runny nose, watery eyes, or cough, and immediately isolate any pet showing signs of illness.

Cat Boarding

Do you board cats? What is included?

Yes. Pet Paradise offers cat boarding in private, spacious condos with plush bedding and room to relax. Cat areas feature enrichment such as climbing trees, scratching posts, window ledges and individual playtime or time with cat siblings. Your resort can explain feeding, litter care and available cat boarding accommodations.

Are cats housed separately from dogs?

Pet Paradise cat boarding accommodations are located in a dedicated cat area, separate from group dog play spaces. Our cat boarding page describes private condos and cat-specific enrichment; ask your resort about the exact layout and noise separation at that location.

Do cats get playtime?

Yes. Cat play sessions are done individually or with other cats from their family.

Day Camp

What is day camp and what does a typical day look like?

Pet Paradise day camp is supervised dog daycare with play groups matched for compatibility, plus rest and location-specific activities such as splash areas or pools.

Do you offer half days or multi-day packages?

Yes. Many Pet Paradise resorts offer half-day and full-day dog day camp, plus passes or memberships where available. Options and prices depend on the location.

What are day camp drop-off and pick-up windows?

Pet Paradise day camp drop-off and pickup windows vary by resort. Use the resort's posted hours and confirm any early drop-off options or fees.

Health & Special Needs

Are staff trained to administer medications?

Yes, our team is trained to give oral and topical medications. Medications must arrive in their original container with written instructions (pet name, medication, dosage, route, special instructions), and you'll complete a Prescription Medication Form at check-in. Please don't pre-pack medications, vitamins, or supplements into meals. We are unable to accept insulin-dependent pets or pets needing injectable medications.

Do you accept senior dogs?

Yes. Let us know about your senior pet's needs and we'll gladly accommodate them. Pets must be able to stand and walk on their own, and dogs who need extra help may be placed in one-on-one care rather than group play.

Which health or behavioral conditions can't you accept?

For everyone's safety, we can't accept pets who are pregnant, in heat, nursing, or postpartum within 6 weeks; coughing or showing respiratory symptoms; carrying a contagious disease or skin condition; experiencing diarrhea; heartworm positive; or diagnosed with Addison's disease, dementia, diabetes, FeLV, or FIV. We also can't accept pets with open wounds, broken bones, casts, bandages, or non-dissolvable sutures; pets who can't stand and walk independently; pets needing injectable medication, hormone therapy, or cancer treatment within the last 14 days; or pets with extreme dog or people aggression. Other conditions are considered case by case, so please call ahead.

Do you accept dogs that are not spayed or neutered?

Yes. Intact pets over 6 months have individual play sessions with a Playtime Coordinator or with dogs from their own family. We can't accept pets in heat.

What happens if my pet becomes sick or injured during their stay?

If a pet becomes ill or injured, Pet Paradise follows care protocols, contacts the pet parent and can coordinate veterinary assistance. Ask the resort about emergency authorization and charges.

Is there a veterinarian on-site?

Some locations have NewDay Veterinary Care clinics or hospitals on-site; contact your resort for details. Every location partners with local veterinarians for emergency care during business hours.

How do you care for flat-faced breeds like Bulldogs and Pugs?

Brachycephalic breeds have shorter airways that make breathing harder in heat or stress, so we adjust their day camp play schedules to prevent overheating and keep them in air conditioning rather than on a patio in warm weather. See our Safety Guidelines page for more.

What is CIRD (canine cough) and how do you prevent it?

CIRD is a contagious respiratory illness in dogs marked by a hacking cough; most cases are mild and clear in one to two weeks. We require DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, recommend the canine influenza booster series be completed at least two weeks before a stay, follow strict cleaning and decontamination protocols, screen every pet at arrival, and isolate any dog showing symptoms. Very young, senior, immunocompromised, and flat-faced dogs are at higher risk. CIRD does not spread to people.

Grooming

What grooming services do you offer?

Pet Paradise provides dog bathing, haircuts, nail trims, brushing, ear cleaning and add-on grooming services. Cat grooming is available at select resorts.

Do I need a boarding reservation to book grooming?

No. You can book Pet Paradise grooming as a standalone appointment without boarding, subject to groomer availability.

Can my dog be groomed during a boarding stay?

Yes. Pet Paradise grooming can be added during a boarding stay where available. Book ahead to confirm scheduling and pricing.

Do you groom cats?

Behavior & Training

What does 'non-compatible' mean?

A non-compatible dog is one who can't safely share play space with other dogs, whether because they're intact, show dog aggression, mounting, or fearfulness, or have mobility limits that call for one-on-one care. This is determined during the temperament assessment on your pet's first visit.

Can a non-compatible dog be reassessed?

Yes. If your dog's behavior has changed or you've worked with a trainer, ask our team about a reassessment. Dogs who aren't spayed or neutered remain non-compatible until they are fixed.

Do you offer dog training?

Yes. Pet Paradise offers Board & Train dog training with certified trainers at participating locations. Program details and availability vary by resort.
